A male passenger left behind a bag containing 290,000 Japanese Yen, equivalent to over 48 million Vietnamese Dong, along with various other valuable personal belongings at Passenger Terminal 2 of Noi Bai International Airport. Luckily, a baggage cart attendant, Ms. Lưu Thị Lệ, promptly discovered and secured the bag.
Around 2:50 PM on March 18, 2024, at parking lot P3, level 1, Terminal 2 Passenger Terminal - International Terminal of Noi Bai International Airport, Ms. Lưu Thị Lệ, a member of the baggage cart team at the Airport Operations Center, noticed a black crossbody bag lying on the baggage cart tray with no one nearby. Recognizing it as belonging to a forgetful passenger, she immediately called airport security.
During the inspection, it was found that the bag contained 290,000 Japanese Yen, 02 mobile phones, a passport with the name N.A.T., a boarding pass, and various other personal items. Fortunately, about 20 minutes later, Mr. N.A.T. was guided by a staff member present at the Operations Center of the Airport Security Rapid Response Team. Mr. T. expressed gratitude upon receiving the bag with a significant amount of money he had saved while working in Japan.
Ms. Lưu Thị Lệ, the bag discoverer, shared: "Every year, I come across 1-2 cases of lost property from passengers and hand them over in full. However, this is the first time I've found a wallet with a lot of money. Honestly, when counting, I was nervous and moved because I was happy for the passenger."
