In commemoration of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (27 July 1947–27 July 2026), Noi Bai International Airport organised a wide range of activities to honour those who rendered meritorious service to the nation. The occasion provided an opportunity for all officials, Party members and employees of the Airport to express their profound gratitude to heroic martyrs, wounded and sick veterans, and others who made significant contributions to the revolutionary cause. It also helped instil the cherished Vietnamese tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source” in younger generations.
A Journey to Historical Roots and Heartfelt Gifts of Gratitude

In accordance with the plan of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), Noi Bai International Airport has consistently identified activities honouring national contributors as a key priority in building a compassionate and socially responsible corporate culture.
The series of activities commenced on the morning of 23 July 2026 with a warm gathering, during which representatives of Noi Bai International Airport extended their sincere regards and presented meaningful gifts to 23 employees who are relatives of fallen martyrs and are currently working at the Airport.
Following the gathering, an Airport delegation made a journey to the K9 Da Chong Historical Site, where they solemnly offered incense and observed a minute of silence in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh and previous generations who devoted their lives to the nation.
The Pioneering Spirit of the Noi Bai Area Youth Union

Continuing the solemn and meaningful programme, Youth Union members carried out a variety of practical activities that strongly reflected the commitment and sense of responsibility of the younger generation.

On the morning of 24 July 2026, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and key Youth Union officials from the Noi Bai Area Youth Union Cluster solemnly held a flower- and incense-offering ceremony at the Memorial Monument of the 371st Air Division.

From 20 to 27 July, affiliated Youth Union branches travelled to Hung Yen and Son La provinces and Hanoi to visit, extend their regards, present gifts and provide the 2026 annual support allowances to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and relatives of fallen martyrs whom the Youth Union has committed to supporting throughout their lives. Warm handshakes and sincere words of encouragement brought comfort and emotional support to these families of national contributors.
Notably, at 7:00 p.m. on 24 July, the Youth Union of Noi Bai International Airport coordinated with the Youth Union of Noi Bai Commune to organise a deeply moving “Candle Lighting in Gratitude” ceremony at Thanh Xuan Martyrs’ Cemetery in Noi Bai Commune.
Hundreds of candles were lit on the graves of fallen martyrs, illuminating the sacred grounds and expressing the boundless gratitude of today’s younger generation to those who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
The series of activities marking the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day at Noi Bai International Airport has concluded, but its profound humanitarian values will continue to resonate.
Through these meaningful and practical actions, the employees and younger generation of Noi Bai International Airport pledge to continue striving, strengthening solidarity and promoting excellence in their work, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s aviation sector and honouring the noble sacrifices made by previous generations.
