On the afternoon of October 25, 2026, at the headquarters of Noi Bai International Airport (NIA), airport leaders welcomed and held a working session with a high-level delegation from Poland’s national airline, LOT Polish Airlines, to discuss preparations for launching a direct route linking the capitals of Warsaw and Hanoi, scheduled to commence operations on April 1, 2027.

Representing LOT Polish Airlines at the meeting was Mr. Michał Fijoł, Chief Executive Officer, accompanied by senior representatives from the airline’s Ground Operations, Asia Regional Operations and Business Development departments.

Representing Noi Bai International Airport were Mr. Tô Tử Hà, Deputy General Director of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and Director of Noi Bai International Airport; the Airport’s Management Board; and representatives of ground handling services provider HGS, cargo services provider ACSV, and aviation fuel supplier NAFSC.

According to the plan presented at the meeting, LOT Polish Airlines is expected to operate the Warsaw–Hanoi route three times per week using modern Boeing 787 wide-body aircraft. This strategic move will create new opportunities for direct trade, tourism and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Poland, while providing a convenient connection for passengers travelling between Vietnam and European countries via Warsaw, a key transit hub.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tô Tử Hà expressed his sincere appreciation for LOT Polish Airlines’ confidence in and choice of Noi Bai International Airport.

He emphasized: “To ensure a smooth start, Noi Bai has proactively taken note of the airline’s requirements and will work closely with ground handling, cargo and fuel service providers to review and finalize comprehensive service plans, covering everything from infrastructure arrangements and the optimization of passenger and baggage handling procedures to flexible contingency plans for unforeseen situations. We are committed to providing the best possible conditions for both technical operations and an enhanced passenger experience.”

In addition to technical and ground operations, NIA also expressed its readiness to support the airline in promotional and communications activities, as well as preparations for the welcoming ceremony for the inaugural flight on April 1, 2027.

During the meeting, both sides watched a presentation on NIA’s infrastructure capabilities and service quality, exchanged commemorative gifts and held in-depth discussions on detailed operational requirements. The meeting took place in an open and professional atmosphere, marking a positive start to a long-term and effective partnership between Noi Bai International Airport and LOT Polish Airlines.
