On May 9th, a representative of Noi Bai International Airport announced that a passenger left behind a suitcase at the public area of Passenger Terminal T2 at Noi Bai Airport, containing valuable items worth over 200 million Vietnamese dong. The airport security staff assisted in locating and returning the lost items to the passenger.

Mr. Tran Van Tien, a Mobile Security Officer at the ANHK Center at Noi Bai International Airport, was on duty when he discovered a passenger's forgotten suitcase at the public area of Passenger Terminal T2 at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi. Luckily, Mr. Tran Van Tien, the Mobile Security Officer at Noi Bai, who was on duty nearby, found it. After observing for about 5 minutes without seeing anyone claim it, he asked people nearby, and then reported to the security camera monitoring team. The camera footage showed that the owner had boarded a vehicle and left the terminal. Mr. Tien quickly informed his colleagues to conduct security checks on the abandoned luggage according to regulations.
The Mobile Security team at Noi Bai promptly conducted visual inspections, explosive substance checks, security screening of the suitcase, and documented the incident. During the inspection, the security team found inside the suitcase a laptop, an iPad, 2 watches, cash, bank cards under the name L.C.T, and numerous pieces of jewelry with purchase receipts totaling over 200 million dong. Mr. Tien contacted the phone number found in the suitcase. When he called, the person who answered, Ms. L.C.T, did not believe she had left her luggage behind and requested a stop to check. At that time, Ms. T was nearing the city of Viet Tri (Phu Tho province).
Ms. T later realized after checking that the suitcase was not in the vehicle, so she quickly contacted the airport security at Noi Bai. She explained the reason for forgetting such an important suitcase: "My son needs a wheelchair, so I always need assistance getting on and off the vehicle. When I boarded the vehicle to leave the airport, I was confident that I had loaded all the luggage."
It is known that Ms. L.C.T and her son were passengers on flight KE0164 from Turkey to Vietnam at 3:00 PM on May 9th.
"I felt relieved when I arrived at Noi Bai. I want to express my deep gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Tien and the Noi Bai Airport Security team once again. I almost lost so many valuable belongings, documents, and precious data," emotionally shared Ms. T.
