In compliance with the directive on the implementation of Level 1 enhanced aviation security control measures from 29 April 2026 to 4 May 2026, Noi Bai International Airport recommends that passengers take note of several important points to ensure a safe, smooth, and convenient journey.

During the holiday peak period, passenger traffic through the airport is expected to increase significantly. At the same time, the tightening of security screening procedures may result in longer processing times. Passengers are therefore advised to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure for domestic flights and at least 3 hours before departure for international flights in order to better manage their travel schedules.

Under Level 1 security regulations, the rate of random visual checks on passengers and baggage will be higher than usual. Passengers are kindly requested to remain patient and cooperate with security staff in accordance with their instructions.

In addition, passengers should remain vigilant regarding their personal belongings, keep their baggage under their own supervision, and absolutely refrain from carrying items on behalf of strangers. If any unattended baggage or suspicious signs are detected, passengers should immediately inform airport staff or the nearest competent authority for timely assistance and handling.

At present, aviation security is implemented at three enhanced levels: Levels 1, 2, and 3. Among these, Level 1 is a proactive alert level applied during major holidays or important events. This is not an emergency situation, but rather a preventive measure aimed at strengthening security and ensuring absolute safety for passengers during periods of increased travel demand.

The safety of passengers is always our top priority. Noi Bai International Airport sincerely appreciates passengers’ understanding, cooperation, and companionship during this holiday period.
