On 15 April 2026, the Trade Union of Noi Bai International Airport held a training conference on occupational safety and health (OSH) activities for trade union officials and the network of occupational safety and health representatives.

The conference was joined and directly guided by Mr Do Viet Duc, Senior Specialist at the Labour Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.

In her opening remarks, Ms Trinh Thi Lien Huong, Vice President of the Trade Union of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Noi Bai International Airport, emphasized that in the aviation operating environment, where absolute safety is required, OSH is not merely a regulation, but a decisive factor in the Airport’s reputation and sustainable development.
She also stressed the need to shift from passive compliance with safety requirements to the proactive building of a safety culture. Each officer and employee must take the initiative in identifying risks and protecting themselves, their colleagues and the organisation, striving to make every workplace a “safe point” and ensure smooth operations at all times.

At the conference, practical topics were delivered based on the Occupational Safety Culture Development Scheme for the 2025–2030 period, focusing on equipping trade union officials at all levels with skills and a shared understanding of OSH work; enhancing professional capacity for the network of occupational safety and health representatives at affiliated units; and discussing and directly addressing practical issues arising at the workplace together with the Airport’s leadership.

The conference was one of the key activities in response to the 2026 Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health and Workers’ Month. It reflected the close attention of the ACV Trade Union and Noi Bai International Airport to protecting the rights and health of employees.
