On the morning of June 30, Noi Bai International Airport hosted a "Workshop on Business Connectivity and Aviation Security Human Resources Introduction." This was a practical effort by the Airport's Board of Directors to support job placement for 398 aviation security personnel, while also bringing numerous employment opportunities at businesses operating within the shared community of Noi Bai International Airport.

Identifying high-quality human resources

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. To Tu Ha — Director of Noi Bai International Airport — shared that from July 1st, aviation security operations will officially be transferred to the Ministry of Public Security. At Noi Bai International Airport, approximately 500 security personnel have already been recruited and will take on the new uniform of the Border Gate Police force.

Regarding the 398 Noi Bai aviation security personnel whose labor contracts are being terminated and who are not among those to be transferred, Mr. To Tu Ha frankly clarified: the reason these individuals were not included in the transfer stems from the specific requirements of the police sector (such as age limits, health standards, or personal background requirements). This in no way reflects the professional competence of these workers. In fact, they are a team with solid expertise, foreign language proficiency meeting job requirements, strong practical skills, high discipline, extensive airport experience, and — most importantly — a consistent record of fulfilling assigned duties.

In a detailed presentation at the workshop, a representative of the Human Resources Department of Noi Bai International Airport highlighted the distinctive strengths and specific figures regarding the workforce's educational qualifications, language proficiency, age structure, and more — proposing tailored staffing packages suited to the positions businesses are looking to fill. The representative also affirmed that this is a workforce of absolute discipline and reliability, having undergone rigorous background checks as well as strict annual aviation employee evaluations. These workers possess sharp situational judgment skills and have received professional training in surveillance, risk identification, and conflict and emergency resolution. Notably, they have flexible communication skills that balance strict security requirements with service industry standards, along with strong physical endurance and the ability to perform under high pressure.

Recruiting from this workforce represents a major opportunity for businesses to acquire high-quality human resources with iron discipline and absolute reliability — qualities that are extremely difficult to find in the open labor market. With a proven workforce already holding professional certifications, businesses will save significantly on initial training costs and time. To facilitate a smooth transition for these workers, Noi Bai International Airport stands ready to assist with information connectivity, and to provide confirmation of work history, professional competence, and task performance records to support businesses throughout the recruitment process.

Wide-ranging job opportunities from businesses

The event was attended by representatives of 22 units, including aviation enterprises, airlines, and non-aviation businesses operating within the Noi Bai International Airport area. Faced with this abundant and high-quality talent pool, businesses put forward a wide range of opportunities and preferential policies specifically for the aviation security workforce:

  • A representative of the Vietnam Airport Ground Services Company – Noi Bai Branch (VIAGS) stated that the company has dozens of vacancies for positions including apron supervisors, passenger service agents, and baggage handlers. Notably, the company is willing to relax the age limit for certain positions specifically for aviation security personnel.

  • A representative of the Ground Services Operations Center – VietJet Ground Services Company (VJGS Noi Bai) shared a major opportunity with approximately 200 openings across a wide range of positions (passenger services, baggage handling, communications, tractor vehicle operations, etc.), with recruitment sessions held every Friday on a regular basis.

  • A representative of the Vietnam Air Cargo Services Company (ACSV) assessed the 398 Noi Bai aviation security personnel as an extremely valuable talent pool. To facilitate the process, the company is willing to reasonably relax the recruitment age for positions including internal security, CCTV security surveillance, cargo handlers, sorters, and drivers.

  • A representative of Hanoi Ground Services Joint Stock Company (HGS) affirmed its desire to prioritize aviation security personnel through a special mechanism: providing vacancy information to the Noi Bai Aviation Security Center ahead of public announcements, in order to attract already-trained candidates who can begin work immediately.

  • A representative of Noi Bai Aviation Catering Joint Stock Company (NCS) expressed confidence in the thorough training background of the aviation security workforce and requested that the Airport assist in providing complete professional certifications to facilitate the onboarding process.

  • ALS Cargo Terminal Joint Stock Company (ALSC) expressed appreciation for the Airport Leadership's attention to the welfare of workers. The company also noted that, after hearing about the candidates' strengths and qualifications, the current advantage clearly lies with the workers — who have the right to choose the most suitable employer. ALSC welcomes workers to come directly to the company's human resources department for personal consultations.

The strong momentum of job opportunities at Noi Bai was also reflected in a lighthearted remark from one business representative: with companies offering dozens or even hundreds of vacancies, there is concern that intense competition may leave smaller businesses with little chance of accessing this high-quality talent pool.

A practical employment bridge

Closing the workshop, Director To Tu Ha extended his gratitude to the businesses for their support. He shared: "Before, I was worried there wouldn't be enough opportunities — but after today's session, I feel very reassured. Together, we are building a bridge between the recruitment needs of businesses and the employment needs of workers. The most important thing for these 398 personnel right now is to find a truly suitable opportunity. When one door closes, many others will open."

Director Ha also reflected that, having been deeply connected to Noi Bai International Airport, these workers have grown accustomed to a stable work routine and steady income — making this organizational change a truly significant turning point for each individual. With that empathy in mind, the Airport Director tasked the Human Resources Department with urgently compiling and updating detailed recruitment information from all businesses — covering positions, job descriptions, salary ranges, and age requirements — and delivering this information directly and promptly to each worker. Recruitment could begin as early as the coming months, giving workers the maximum opportunity to explore available job options.

Going forward, Noi Bai International Airport affirms that it will continue to work closely with businesses and the Noi Bai Aviation Security Center to ensure all recruitment information reaches the widest possible number of aviation security personnel seeking employment — so they can continue to grow and thrive within the Noi Bai family.
