To ensure smooth operation of the new infrastructure and technology systems, Nội Bài International Airport conducted trial operations with simulated flights over three days, from 04 to 06 December 2025.

The program was carried out with the coordination of the Northern Airports Authority, the Immigration Police, the Customs Sub-Department, and 80 airport staff members acting as passengers. Two simulated flights were operated: flight VJ1002 (Hanoi – Siem Reap) by Vietjet Air and flight VN1001 (Hanoi – Tokyo Narita) by Vietnam Airlines.

The key objective was to verify the integrated operational capability of the entire passenger-processing chain in the expanded terminal area — from check-in and baggage drop-off, through immigration procedures and smart security screening, all the way to the boarding gates. This realistic simulation enabled the Airport and operating units inside the terminal to assess coordination efficiency, identify and promptly resolve technical bottlenecks, and ensure a fully synchronized, stable, and safe operation ahead of the official “G-hour.”
