Since June 25, Vietnam Airlines has resumed operating flights between Hanoi and Chengdu (China) via Noi Bai International Airport.

At 10:50 PM on June 25, 2024, flight number VN552 of Vietnam Airlines will depart from Hanoi and take off from Noi Bai International Airport, officially resuming Vietnam Airlines' commercial flight operation to Chengdu (China). This event is expected to contribute to the growth of tourist exchanges between the two sides in the near future.

The Hanoi - Chengdu (China) route is operated by Vietnam Airlines with a frequency of 4 flights per week, with a flight time of just over two hours from Hanoi to Chengdu.

For Vietnam Airlines, the Hanoi - Chengdu route holds significant importance in the airline's strategy for developing its international network, opening new doors for travelers from both countries to explore popular destinations in Vietnam and China more easily and conveniently.

The Hanoi - Chengdu route was inaugurated by Vietnam Airlines on June 27, 2012. However, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, this route ceased operations in 2020.

As of now, Vietnam Airlines operates 5 routes between Vietnam and China, with a total of 33 round-trip flights per week. The airline recently marked the milestone of 30 years of operating flight routes and celebrated its 100,000th flight on the China route. Over three decades, Vietnam Airlines has transported over 11 million passengers and more than 166,000 tons of goods between the two countries, making positive contributions to diplomatic relations as well as economic and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

Noi Bai International Airport is carefully preparing all resources and plans in its operations to be ready to serve international flights of both domestic and foreign airlines passing through Noi Bai International Airport.
