On April 30, 2025, Chengdu Airlines officially launched its international route connecting Hanoi (Vietnam) and Chengdu (China). This new route marks a significant milestone in the growing cooperation between Noi Bai International Airport and Chengdu Airlines, contributing to the promotion of trade and tourism exchange between the two dynamic cities.

Chengdu Airlines operates the TFU – HAN route with a frequency of four flights per week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday evenings, using modern Airbus A320 aircraft. The flight duration is approximately just over two hours each way, offering a convenient and time-saving travel option for passengers between Hanoi and Chengdu — a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant culinary scene in China.

Hanoi has become the fifth international destination (following Thailand, Russia, and Tajikistan) and the first route in Vietnam for Chengdu Airlines, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s strategy to expand its international flight network.

Notably, the launch of the new route by Chengdu Airlines during the peak holiday period of April 30 not only reflects efforts to enhance international connectivity but also contributes positively to the growth of international passenger traffic through Noi Bai International Airport.

As of the end of April 2025, a total of five new international airlines have launched routes to Noi Bai International Airport this year, including AirAsia Cambodia, 9 Air, Xiamen Airlines, Lucky Air, and Chengdu Airlines.
