NOI BAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OPENS THE 2026 MINI FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT AND LAUNCHES THE EARTH HOUR RESPONSE CAMPAIGN

On the morning of March 25, 2026, at the Noi Bai football ground, the Youth Union of Noi Bai International Airport organized the Opening Ceremony of the Mini Football Tournament celebrating the 95th Anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2026) and launched the Earth Hour 2026 response campaign.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Board of Management of Noi Bai International Airport, representatives of the leadership of affiliated units, and more than 100 athletes from 8 units in the aviation service chain in the area.

Connecting Youth Through the Spirit of Sport

The 2026 Mini Football Tournament brings together 8 competing teams, including: Noi Bai International Airport (NIA), Hanoi Ground Services Joint Stock Company (HGS), Noi Bai Aviation Fuel Joint Stock Company (NAFSC), Vietnam Aviation Cargo Services Joint Stock Company (ACSV), Northern Civil Aviation Authority, Northern Air Traffic Management Company, VIAGS-NBA and VAECO.

Immediately after the opening whistle, the qualifying matches took place enthusiastically in the spirit of solidarity and fair play. This is an opportunity for officials and youth union members from various units to exchange, learn and strengthen cooperative relationships in professional work at the Airport. According to the plan, the finals and closing ceremony are scheduled to take place on March 27, 2026.

"Creating a Green Future" and Practical Actions for Earth Hour

Alongside the sports activities, the NIA Youth Union officially launched the Earth Hour 2026 response campaign with the message "Creating a Green Future."

Specifically, to respond to this message, from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 28, 2026, Noi Bai International Airport together with agencies and units operating at the Airport will jointly carry out the following practical actions:

  • Switching off part of the public lighting system and non-essential advertising signs.
  • Reducing electricity consumption in the car park area.
  • Turning off unnecessary electrical equipment in offices and working areas.

This activity affirms the commitment of the youth and the entire staff of Noi Bai International Airport in pursuing the goal of sustainable development, responsibility to the community and joining hands to protect the green planet.
