Noi Bai International Airport has been ranked among the world’s Top 100 best airports for the seventh time. Notably, in 2025, Noi Bai jumped 17 positions compared to 2024.

On the night of April 9, 2025, Skytrax, the world’s leading airline and airport rating organization, officially announced the World’s Top 100 Airports of 2025. Accordingly, Noi Bai International Airport rose to 79th place, up 17 ranks from 2024 (when it held the 96th position). In this year’s ranking, Vietnam has two representatives: Noi Bai International Airport and Da Nang International Airport, both managed by Airports Corporation of Vietnam – JSC (ACV).

This marks the seventh time Noi Bai International Airport – a vital international aviation gateway of Hanoi – has been honored in Skytrax’s prestigious ranking. It is a well-deserved recognition of the airport’s tireless efforts and continuous improvements over the years.

The year 2024 posed numerous challenges for Noi Bai, as it had to maintain uninterrupted operations while partially closing sections for the expansion of Terminal T2. In such conditions, the airport and its stakeholders seized every opportunity to enhance service quality: from upgrading passenger service spaces and organizing cultural and artistic events during national holidays, to increasing the application of IT in flight operations, implementing the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) model to improve operational efficiency, on-time performance, and reduce aircraft fuel consumption.

Notably, the deployment of cashless, barrier-free toll systems at all entry/exit lanes at Terminals T1 and T2 has helped create a smoother, more convenient experience for passengers. The airport has also added new passenger-friendly services such as phone charging stations, free Wi-Fi, children's play areas, baby care rooms, and improved accessibility for persons with disabilities. Frontline staff have been regularly trained to improve service attitude, while the Passenger Service Quality Committee has been strengthened with more active operations.

Thanks to these proactive and synchronized efforts, Noi Bai ensured absolute safety and security for over 30 million passengers in 2024, while also witnessing strong growth in international passengers in Q1 of 2025 with the launch of multiple new international routes connecting Noi Bai to global destinations.

This significant achievement was made possible by the consensus, support, and collaboration of all agencies and units operating at the airport, all striving toward the shared goal of enhancing passenger service quality.

Noi Bai International Airport would like to express its sincere gratitude to the State management authorities, ACV, and especially to the close cooperation of all aviation and non-aviation enterprises operating at the airport.

With a vision of developing a smart airport, enhancing passenger experience, and moving toward sustainable, green growth, the entire staff of Noi Bai International Airport is committed to continuous improvement. Together with all partners and airlines operating at the airport, we will strive to further enhance service quality and passenger satisfaction, thereby affirming the position and reputation of Hanoi’s most important international aviation gateway in the eyes of global travelers.

Previously, Noi Bai International Airport was also named in the Top 100 Airports in the years: 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2024.

The World Airport Awards were established in 1999, when Skytrax launched its first global airport customer satisfaction survey. These awards are regarded as a benchmark for airport excellence, assessing customer service and facilities at over 500 airports worldwide.

There are no entry fees or payments by any airport (or third parties) to be included in the survey or receive an award. The entire evaluation and award process is independently conducted by Skytrax. Travelers from around the globe participate in the airport customer satisfaction survey to determine the winners of these awards.
