International passengers increased by 37% compared to the same period, units in the service chain at Noi Bai International Airport are ready to meet the peak demand during the April holiday and the Summer peak of 2024.
That was the spirit at the conference summarizing the management and operation coordination of the airport in Quarter I/2024 organized by Noi Bai International Airport on April 17th.
The meeting was attended by numerous representatives of state management agencies, airlines, ground handling companies, aviation enterprises, and units under the Airport.
With the high growth in transportation volume, the number of security incidents is controlled, and the growth trend in Quarter II is forecasted, emphasizing key tasks in Quarter II were vividly presented in the two reports at the conference.
In Quarter I/2024, the total passenger volume increased by 4% compared to the same period in 2023 and by 5% compared to Quarter IV/2023. Specifically, international passenger volume increased by 37% compared to the same period in 2023 and by 5.1% compared to Quarter IV/2023.
Units at the Airport have provided absolute safety for over 44 thousand flight departures and landings, including 60 charter flights and 586 priority flights.
The implementation of the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) model Phase 1 at Noi Bai International Airport since February 1st, 2024, with 28,886 flights operated under the model, including 14,588 departures and 14,668 arrivals, has yielded promising results.
At the conference, leaders representing units operating at the Airport contributed many practical opinions and proposed numerous solutions to effectively implement the tasks for Quarter II/2024 at Noi Bai International Airport.
Mr. To Tu Ha - Director of Noi Bai International Airport, thanked the units in the aviation service chain for their efforts in ensuring absolute flight safety and service quality amidst growing transportation volume, especially the good growth in international transportation volume. He also called for consensus among the operating units at the Airport to proactively prepare for peak service plans during the April 30th, May 1st holidays, and the Summer peak of 2024.
Given that the infrastructure at the Airport is undergoing renovation and expansion, particularly the Passenger Terminal T2, Mr. To Tu Ha requested that every link in the chain prioritize maximum support for flight operations and passenger services.
The conference achieved high consensus, determined to overcome difficulties, ensure absolute security, and enhance service quality for passengers during the upcoming April holiday and Summer peak.
