Mr. P.Q.T shared the story of the early morning of May 15th when he received assistance from the airport security forces in returning his wallet containing nearly 40 million Vietnamese dong and important documents.
At 23:40 on May 14th, while carrying out traffic control duties in the public area of Hall E, Terminal 1 passenger terminal, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, a member of the Vehicle Security Control Team at Noi Bai Airport's Aviation Security Center, discovered a forgotten wallet on a trolley. Despite the crowd in the area, no one claimed the wallet. Recognizing it as a guest's misplaced property, Mr. Hung immediately contacted and handed it over to the Mobile Security Force to carry out security checks and document the incident as per regulations.
The wallet contained 39,821,000 Vietnamese dong, 01 OMEGA watch, and multiple personal documents bearing the name P.Q.T. By tracing the phone number on the business card inside the wallet, the on-duty Mobile Security Force successfully contacted the owner.
At that time, Mr. T had returned to Hanoi. "I was surprised when the security team called to ask if I had lost a wallet. I checked right away, and indeed, I couldn't find the important wallet," Mr. P.Q.T recounted. Mr. T hurriedly returned to the airport and was promptly handed over the wallet by the dedicated airport security personnel at 1:00 a.m.
"At midnight, everyone is quite tired, eager to get on the vehicle and go home to rest, so the inspection of belongings and personal items is often not thorough, leading to forgetfulness. I hope everyone will be more careful than me," Mr. T advised, expressing sincere gratitude to Mr. Hung and the airport staff at Noi Bai Airport in general.
