On the mornings of 16 and 17 July 2025, in the 6th‑floor auditorium of the Operations Building, Noi Bai International Airport partnered with the Vietjet Ground Services Center (VJGS) to host a Safety and Quality Communication Workshop.
The workshop brought together representatives from the leadership of Noi Bai International Airport, the Vietjet Ground Services Center (VJGS), the Safety & Quality Control Division (ATKSCL), and more than 200 VJGS officers and staff—demonstrating a strong commitment to ramp safety and risk management in ground‑handling operations at Noi Bai International Airport.
In her presentation on ramp‑safety communications and voluntary safety reporting at Noi Bai International Airport, Ms Doan Thi Lan Huong, Deputy Head of the Safety & Quality Control Division (ATKSCL), stressed the importance of employee awareness, discipline, and adherence to procedures in the aircraft parking area. She emphasized, “Safety is not a matter of luck. Safety is the result of seriousness, discipline, and responsibility.”
The workshop also promoted a robust culture of voluntary safety reporting, encouraging every staff member to proactively report hazards, unsafe situations, or near‑miss incidents through existing channels so they can be analyzed and preventive measures applied to avert accidents.
Within the same framework, VJGS reviewed key events from the first half of 2025, analyzed representative cases, and updated participants on new elements in international standards and compliance programs—including ISAGO (IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations), IGOM (IATA Ground Operations Manual), and its ongoing internal safety‑and‑quality initiatives. The overarching message was to enhance risk recognition and strengthen a culture of voluntary reporting throughout the entire system.
The workshop concluded successfully, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions directly, analyze real‑world scenarios, and exchange experience on handling procedural deviations.
The two Safety and Quality Communication workshops co‑hosted by Noi Bai International Airport and the Vietjet Ground Services Center (VJGS) closed on a note of professional collaboration, shared responsibility, and a firm commitment to aviation safety. The events provide fresh momentum for both parties to sustain and strengthen voluntary reporting channels, expand safety‑data sharing to mitigate ramp‑area risks, and ensure safe, punctual, high‑quality aircraft operations. They also powerfully spread the message that “Each of us is a vital link in the system” throughout the entire ground‑handling community at Noi Bai.
