On the afternoon of February 11, a delegation from the Ministry of Construction, led by Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan, conducted an on-site inspection of passenger services during the Lunar New Year peak period at Noi Bai International Airport.

On-site inspection of key operational areas

Accompanying the delegation were Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam Do Hong Cam, leaders of the Northern Airports Authority, the Board of Directors of Noi Bai International Airport, as well as representatives from the Border Police and other operating units at the airport.

The delegation directly inspected areas with high passenger volumes during the Tet holiday, including the departure and arrival restricted areas at Terminals T1 and T2, and the medical quarantine area at Terminal T2. At each location, the delegation received reports from relevant units on passenger flow management plans, security control procedures, and health screening processes to ensure smooth operations amid increased transport pressure.

Reviewing newly implemented passenger support facilities at Terminal T1

As part of the inspection at Terminal T1, the delegation examined the operation of the smart information display and wayfinding system. This newly implemented facility aims to enhance the passenger experience.

The system enables passengers to instantly access flight information and navigate to their departure gates using biometric identification technology or by scanning their boarding passes. The inspection focused on assessing the system’s practical effectiveness in reducing the workload of guidance staff and empowering passengers to manage their journeys more proactively.

Ensuring close coordination among all forces

Concluding the inspection, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan acknowledged the efforts of the functional forces working at the airport. He emphasized that units must continue to maintain close coordination and prepare contingency plans to promptly address any arising situations, ensuring safe and smooth travel for the public during the Lunar New Year peak.

On behalf of Noi Bai International Airport, Mr. To Tu Ha, Airport Director, affirmed that the airport will continue to strictly follow directives from higher authorities, strengthen coordination with on-site units, and mobilize all resources to maintain safe and uninterrupted air traffic operations.
