On the morning of 12 November 2025, Deputy Minister of Construction Lê Anh Tuấn chaired an inspection of the implementation progress and the conditions for putting works and project components of the T2 Passenger Terminal Expansion Project at Noi Bai International Airport into operation and use.

The inspection delegation included Mr. Nguyễn Bách Tùng – Deputy Director General of the Department of Construction Economics and Construction Investment Management; Mr. Nguyễn Lê Đồng – Head of the T2 Expansion Project Management Board; Mr. Tô Tử Hà – Director of Noi Bai International Airport, together with representatives of the Hanoi Department of Construction, the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam, the Northern Airports Authority, and contractors/construction units.

The delegation received on-site reports on project status, plans for acceptance testing – trial operation – handover, and solutions related to safety, security, fire prevention and fighting, information technology, and other systems in the completion phase.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Lê Anh Tuấn emphasized the need for all parties to concentrate resources, closely follow the committed schedule, strictly comply with applicable codes and standards, and ensure safety, quality, aesthetics and stable operational efficiency. The objective is to hand over the project on schedule, with synchronized quality, improving the passenger experience and moving towards the goal of becoming a 5-star airport in line with Skytrax standards.

On behalf of Noi Bai International Airport, Mr. Tô Tử Hà – Director of Noi Bai International Airport – warmly welcomed the Deputy Minister of Construction and representatives of the relevant agencies and units to the construction site. He reaffirmed the Airport’s commitment to working closely with state management authorities and contractors to ensure schedule, quality and absolute safety, while minimizing any impact on existing operations and the passenger experience.

The Airport will proactively organize inspections of training and commissioning for all systems and submit to the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam for approval to put the works into operational use, which is expected on 19 December 2025.
