On October 31, Noi Bai International Airport, in collaboration with the Customs Sub-Department of Noi Bai International Airport, organized a conference on customs law to enhance service quality for passengers at the airport.
The conference was held at Noi Bai International Airport and attended by Mr. Phùng Quang Minh, Deputy Head of the Customs Sub-Department of Noi Bai International Airport, along with representatives of various teams under the Customs Sub-Department, franchise business units operating non-aviation services at Nội Bài, and units under Noi Bai International Airport.
Noi Bai International Airport holds a strategically important economic, political, and geographic position in air routes connecting Europe, the Americas, South Asia to Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, and the Asia-Pacific region. Therefore, promoting customs law awareness remains a key priority for both Noi Bai International Airport and the Customs Sub-Department. This marks the first time that Noi Bai International Airport has coordinated with the Customs Sub-Department to hold a conference aimed at introducing and guiding businesses on the newest customs procedures and regulations for warehouse operators and aviation service providers within the airport’s area.
At the conference, the Customs Sub-Department emphasized the regulations on customs declarations that all departing and arriving passengers at Noi Bai International Airport must follow. These include tax-free allowances for baggage, declaration requirements for foreign currency, gold, and other goods, as well as penalties for violations. Compliance with these regulations ensures a smoother and faster immigration process for passengers.
Mr. Phung Quang Minh, Deputy Head of the Customs Sub-Department, stated that raising awareness of customs laws is a priority for the unit. This is achieved through conferences and awareness sessions held at least twice a year, with opportunities to address questions and provide direct support to businesses and operational units during these events.
Ms Bach Ngoc Yen, from the Import Baggage Procedures Team under the Customs Sub-Department of Noi Bai International Airport, shared several recommendations for arriving passengers.
During the three-hour session, the conference successfully conveyed the fundamental content of legal regulations to relevant stakeholders and effectively addressed concerns and questions raised by representatives of participating units.

Noi Bai International Airport and the Customs Sub-Department have consistently taken a proactive approach in disseminating legal policies to the business community. This also highlights the close and effective cooperation between the Customs Sub-Department and the units and enterprises operating within the Noi Bai International Airport area.
