At 9:00 PM on January 18, flight AQ1269 of 9Air from Guangzhou, China, safely landed at Noi Bai International Airport, officially inaugurating the regular round-trip international commercial route between Guangzhou and Hanoi.

This new route will operate with a frequency of three round-trip flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using modern Boeing 737 aircraft. The flight duration from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to Noi Bai International Airport is expected to be approximately over 2 hours, offering convenience and an attractive option for passengers.

To celebrate this event, Noi Bai International Airport held a “water cannon salute” – a ceremonial tradition in the aviation industry to mark the inauguration of a new route.

As the most important aviation gateway in Northern Vietnam, Noi Bai International Airport has welcomed seven new international airlines opening routes to Hanoi from 2024 to early 2025. Additionally, many existing airlines have increased their flight frequencies at Noi Bai International Airport. The airport operates an average of 500 flights daily, serving over 80,000 passengers, including more than 40,000 international travelers.

Since launching international routes in October 2018, 9Air has connected China with six countries and regions across Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia. The airline plays a significant role in promoting regional air travel and cross-border exchanges, affirming its position as one of the key carriers in the aviation industry.
