From 5:00 PM on July 22, 2024 to the end of July 26, 2024, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has decided to implement enhanced Level 1 aviation security control measures at all airports, airfields, air traffic service providers, airlines, and aviation service enterprises during the time of the state funeral for Comrade General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Accordingly:

• The number of aviation security personnel will be increased, especially in critical areas.
• 100% of passengers, cargo, and mail will be security screened before entering the restricted areas.
• The frequency of random checks on passengers and baggage will be increased.
• Continuous and frequent patrols will be conducted in the aircraft parking areas, ready to handle any situation.
• Additional security personnel will be deployed and on standby.
• Fire and medical response teams will be on high alert and ready for any emergencies.
• Coordination with relevant forces will be enhanced to ensure aviation security.

The state funeral for Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, will be organized with national mourning rites on July 25 and 26, 2024.

Viewing hours: 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM on July 25 and 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM on July 26 at the National Funeral Home - No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi.
Memorial service: 1:00 PM on July 26
Burial: 3:00 PM on July 26 at Mai Dich Cemetery, Hanoi.
